Fatal Accident on Delhi-Meerut Expressway: School Bus Collides with SUV, Six Killed, Two Critically Injured

According to the police, a tragic incident took place near Crossing Republik in Ghaziabad on Tuesday, where a school bus driving on the wrong side of the road collided with an SUV on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The collision occurred at approximately 6:04 am when the school bus, traveling in the opposite direction, crashed into a TUV carrying eight occupants. DCP Dehat Shubham Patel confirmed that six of the occupants lost their lives, while the remaining two sustained critical injuries and were immediately rushed to the hospital. The driver of the school bus has been apprehended and is currently under investigation, with serious charges expected to be filed against him in the FIR.
According to the authorities, the occupants of the car were traveling from Meerut to Gurgaon. Tragically, the accident claimed the lives of two children. “The school bus involved in the incident belongs to Bal Bharti School in Noida,” stated Ramanand Kushwaha, ADCP Traffic Police, Ghaziabad, in an interview with news agency ANI.
